Despite a growing interest in the last hundred years in both orientalism and comparative religions, and the fact that there are over fifty million Shi'a Muslims, until now there has been no thorough and objective study of that part of Islam called Shi'ism for Western scholars. It is written by a distinguished leader of that community, who, in addition to possessing a thorough knowledge of its traditional history and literature, presents its rational-philosophic, traditional-legal, and gnostic-mystical elements with warmth and sympathy. The result is a well-integrated general picture which succeeds in giving the reader a clear and comprehensive picture of how the Shi'ite Muslim views his religion.

Seyyed Hossein Nasr is Professor of the History of Science and Philosophy at Tehran University. Among his many books are Ideals and Realities of Islam, The Encounter of Man and Nature and Sufi Essays.

It was a handy overview of financial accounting and a general explanation of the financial world.. I agree with the another reviewer that this book is indeed interesting and humorous. Perhaps there are several species, certainly a number of varieties. Great product. If you truly don't want it, get some value out of it by selling it or donating it for a tax break. He writes "whereas heterosexual men may need to be aware about how others might respond to their interest in a particular woman, they do not have to confront hostility for being interested in women"; Bergman emphasizes the importance of the coming out process in the literature under discussion. Ironically, before creating her pirate radio stations, the author wasn't actually a huge alternative music fan and mentions attracting all sorts of semi-famous musicians to the station,without being all that steeped in their music.
