I don't like the dogma, I don't feel a sense of community when I'm there, and while they may work for a lot of people, I knew they didn't work for me in a significant way. Lee Lynch's "Swashbuckler" chronicles about 15 years in life of Frenchy Tonneau, a New Yorker, from her coming of age to her fifthanniversary with her lover. The most compelling reason to read this book is Lynch's treatment of Frenchy. Please go. Therefore we confuse cause and effect: we see the deviant behavior as causing alcoholism rather than alcoholism as the source of the misbehaviors. I gave it 5 stars because it was the most encouraging and easy to understand information I have found on the subject.. T
